's Monday workout

Hi all, I did a workout at 5 AM this morning but I didn't have time to post. Have had a crazy busy day today and just walked in the door right now. This morning I did Fast Forward with Joyce Vedral. It is a VHS tape that uses weights. It lasted about an hour. When I got home from work, I had two editions of Muscle & Fitness mags waiting for me to read them, that probably won't happen until this weekend though. I am off now to cook dinner, figure out what I am going to wear to work tomorrow and what I am going to take for lunch tomorrow. I had this time change, it is already dark by the time I get home from work now. It is so cold today, the day before yesterday we were 91 degrees and today I am freezing (okay so maybe to some of you it's not freezing, but to me it is) Have a great evening everyone.

LOL, you are so cute !  Trust me, we don't always like to workout!!  We all have those crappy workouts sometimes, or the times when we absolutely do not want to do it, BUT WE DO IT ANYWAY.  We must.  You have to make it a part of life.. just like you said.. just like brushing your teeth.  No excuses, just do it!!  :)

With that said, I would get truly annoyed too if people just assumed I had weightloss surgery..ugh...  I used to get annoyed when people would say to me " must be nice to look like that " .  Well, WHATEVER, you can do it too, it's not like I flipped a switch and magically turned this way.  Takes a ton of hard work and discipline!!  GRRR.. A big pet peeve of mine.  Like we were just blessed and they were not or something.  I've griped about this before, and I guess I'll gripe again.  It just totally aggravates me........

With that said, once you shed all your weight that you want off, and  you are exercising to maintain, I am guessing you will enjoy it.... or it might come earlier than that too :)  You just keep chugging along until then, just as you have been - keep up the stellar job - you're truly an inspiration!

Actually, they do ask and then when I tell them that it's through diet and exercise, they just look at me crazy, like they were hoping I was gonna say it's a magic pill or something.  LOL.  Many people come up to me and say, " hey,  I didn't know you had that weight loss surgery " .  I don't know why, but that just really pisses me off and sends me through the roof.  I don't like that they assume that people can't lose weight without surgery anymore.  I have nothing against the surgery, some people do great with it,  it's just the assumption that gets me mad.  And I really do hate dragging my arce out of bed at 5 AM, but if I don't it ain't gonna happen.  And unlike many of you,  I actually don't like working out,  I just know I have to, like doing dishes and picking up dog poop (okay, maybe it's not that bad), but if I don't do it, there are bad consequences.  Gosh,  I think I'm sounding kinda witchy right now,  I better go chill for awhile.

Way to go, !  Your day sounds identical to what mine normally are during the week!  Gotta love the pre work workouts!   And I bet people at work are ASTONISHED at how much weight you've lost and probably ask for your advice all the time!

I gave up caring what other people thought about me along time ago!! I have my

family and friends, they are the only ones who count.

I know what you mean about people thinking/HOPING you have a " magic pill. "

People think I'm nuts for working out the hard cardio at my age. It the only way

to KEEP moving as you age!

Congrats, girl, and don't let those " others " drag you down.

BTW, I have a love/hate for this stuff. I'm basically lazy, but I love having

strength and stamina.

HI ,

I don't blame you for being angry about the weight loss surgery comments - you have worked hard for your results and it is frustrating that people don't acknowledge it!!!

I like her too. I don't have this book, I want it though. I do have the Bottoms Up workout though.

I think I have most if not all of Joyce Vedral's workouts. I love her Bottoms Up book...it's really a great weight lifting book. She can be annoying at times but I do like her workouts! Jen

I exercise every day too, it just helps with my mind-set big-time.  On my 7th day, it's always a lighter (sometimes just yoga) and shorter workout.  I do welcome it!

   I like exercising but sometimes I feel I need to take a break...if I'm sore from my poor old knees or haven't had a day off in awhile....  I'm trying to do some form of exercise EVERYDAY thought because it helps me to make it a habit. 

    You need to find an exercise that you enjoy, otherwise it will be hard to do it for another 30 or 50 years!                      Jen
