Guest guest
I watched nearly the whole show and never heard them mention he would be on, etc. I gave up when I had to take kids to school at 9:00. I guess I'll just check his website to see if they mention what happened. Hope everyone is having a great day. I went off track with breakfast this morning. I'm getting a cold and feel like junk and somehow thought a bagel with peanut butter (portion size was a little out of whack) would make me feel better. It didn't really. I'm going to plan a good grocery store trip and do some cooking ahead this weekend. Then I shouldn't be as tempted to go off plan. Have a good weekend! -- Jen A. Guest guest
Wasn't Bill on the show as planned??? I didn't turn on the TV until 7:15 (CST) and I thought maybe I had missed him. Carolyn
Guest guest
Hmmm. I didn't know about Bill on the Today Show but I called & Noble and they said Bill is coming there to do a book signing. My schedule is cleared to go there. If Bill doesn't show up, I'll be p.o.'d cuz that's my workout time. I'm thinking of getting a disposable camera & finding someone to take pics of me with him that I can share with all y'all. My only regret is I let myself go a bit between challenges and am just now getting back on track. M1 Oatmeal and Designer Whey/Egg Beaters/Udo Oil blend protein shake M2 2 egg whites, one egg, 1-1/2 slices plain WW Toast I am drinking coffee with skim milk so that's kind of carby right now. M3 Grilled chicken breast, raw broccoli & cauliflower M4 same as M3 M5 LF CC with pineapple chunks M6 not sure yet I agree with Todd there is something annoying about the network morning news programs. I tend to watch the local morning news program because it's more relevant. There's only so much Iraq news I can take. Though the local station does intersperse little tidbits during The Today Show, The Today Show isn't going to tell me about the latest transportation delays or local weather. Guest guest
I was just on the BFL.com site, and someone said they had seen him on the show. I taped it, so hopefully I captured the moment! Guest guest
> > I watched nearly the whole show and never heard them mention he > would be on, > > etc. I watched the whole thing from beginning to end and never seen him. Now all I can figure is we were all watching the wrong show or they had him on locally while we were being thrilled with the local stuff. Guest guest
I have sped through my tape of the today show (NBC) from this morning. Bill was on during the final half hour of the show (around 8:30 here in Nebrasks -- CST). Hope this helps those of you who have taped it. > > > I was just on the BFL.com site, and someone said they had seen him > on > > the show. I got up and turned it on when it started and watched it until it ended and another show came one 2hrs total. Last night I went to the Today site and it say's the show is 3 hrs, so I looked to see where the other hour went. The west coast network puts a 1 hour show on at the end of 2 hours and then shows the last hour after. Pretty stupid in my estimate, but as a result I did not see the last hour with Bill on it. Still upset, now at the local instead of at the national. TwoWalks ticked off doughboy
Guest guest
Maybe this will help clarify... (I was working from home Fridays as I work four ten hour days at the office Monday through Thursday - so I just kept the NBC on.) The Today Show has TWO parts - one before Regis & and one AFTER... Bill was on during the after-Regis segment of the Today show. My favorite part was when Ann asked something like, " What if someone doesn't want to work out *six time* a week, can someone do parts of the program without doing all of it? " And Bill smiled and basically said, " No. " He said something like to make a transfomation in twelve weeks the physical as well as the nutritional aspect of the program is vital.... It was cool. The interview was REALLY brief - for those of you that missed it - it was maybe 2 minutes long. - Jodie G Jodie - jodiegm@... - 462-0511
Guest guest
I think the way Matt Lauer said " BE SURE to see the FULL interview on Sunday " infers that they will reveal much more. I hope Lauer gives Wakefield a chance to address every overdramatized statement that Offit just made. Offit actually said there was an epidemic of measles last year. While none of us want measles to break out, how come it's constantly ignored that OUR REAL epidemic hasn't even been addressed? We're all supposed to shut up and deal with it. We're not allowed to ask questions. It's statements like this that the media and then unaffected public fall for. No one questions it further and we look like dramatic loosers looking desperately to blame someone as if we aren't educated and researched. They said on the interview that Wakefield's study has never been reproduced. This isn't true and a recent lecture I've heard with Wakefield he said something along the lines that the CDC had found the same results but dismissed them due to current special ed vaccination requirement for preschool aged children. Which is a ridiculous statement. If animals die in vaccine trials they can start the whole trial over and dismiss this info. It's all crap! I hope this sort of issue is brought to the surface. I think it will. I think today fired some controversy and they were basically painting the picture of the chain of events as a foundation for the next full interview. I'll be restless until Sunday at 6 pm!!! Any thoughts on this? Did you all catch the short interview? > > It's starting in minutes, the first interview with Wakefield. Guest guest
I caught it. It did not look good for Wakefield, in my opinion. Matt always seem to stress specific words, implying he was not giving Wakefield much credit. However, I will stay open until Sunday. Although, TH sent out an email indicating they would work with Matt because he seems very genuine! I think Matt is bought and paid for and is very slanted. But, again, I will see how they treat Wakefield and the autism epidemic. You are right about them not mentioning autism as an epidemic. The outbreak of measles... we all had measles and are just fine. And exactly what is an outbreak according to CDC 5 people?
