Guest guest
Thanks for looking that up regarding the GI. My Great Value flavored yogurts have 8 g of sugar and the plain one I just tried had 12 gm, but the container was 2 oz bigger than the flavored ones. I may try oatmeal or brown rice. I'm getting tired of yogurt after almost 2 years and changing flavors doesn't seem to help. Trying the plain was a mistake. Guest guest
Sounds good Andy. I made the no bake protein bars on Saturday. I am very impressed, they taste great. So, after 15 months I finally started to try to make some things. I realize you must do this to change it up a little. My question: I made the Italian bean soup which was very good. What other recipes have you guys made that was pretty easy and the result was good? How about the bake protein bars with the applesauce? I guess I am going to look into the stock pot recipes because they are easy. Jay
Guest guest
Good Morning! I made yogurt in the crockpot!!! It came out perfect .... creamy and thick! I am starting another batch this morning! If anyone is interested in how I did it...here goes! Place 2 quarts milk in crockpot...set on low. Cover and let heat for 2 1/2 hours. After 2 1/2 hours, unplug crockpot and let sit another 3 hours. After 3 hours, remove 2 cups of warm milk and place in a bowl. Add 1/2 cup organic plain yogurt. Mix well and put back into crockpot....stir well to mix. Cover. Wrap entire crockpot with two large towels and let sit 8 hours or overnight. That's it! I used raw sheep milk. I read that if the yogurt comes out watery...next time add unflavored gelatin or pectin. Thanks for all the help! God bless, Darlene
