Guest guest
My headaches were getting way out of control. I had a migraine for over 8 weeks straight with no break. They called irretractable migraine. I finally had to be admitted to the hospital for 3 days to get myself lined out. They have me several rounds of DHE-45 and it finally made it much better. Anyway, My neurologist finally asked if I have any problems sleeping and I said , uh, YEAH! He said he didn't think I was getting enough oxygen to my brain and that is what was triggering my headaches. He set up a sleep study and sure enough. I was positive for sleep apnea. I completely stopped breathing many times and my oxygen saturation level was consistently hanging around 83. That is entirely TOO low. She said it should be around 98-100. I have to go back and they are going to put me on a cpap machine and see if they can get my oxygen saturation level up to where it needs to be. My dr did also put me on Topamax and I can tell that it is helping quite a bit. I am really looking forward to going back and starting to feel somewhat normal again. Of course, this is just my experience and I wanted to share because maybe it will help someone else.
