Guest guest
I wish I could be more positive. All I can say is get ready for a terrible terrible experience and observe your child. My son was 3.5 when he was evaluated and placed in the ppcd program and it was AWFUL. He regressed and was abused by the teaching staff. He was not then nor has he ever been agressive.. but has difficulty with transitions and would cry. The BRAINIACS at KRAHN (the only location they had the program) we are in Hassler's area, blew a shrill coaches whistle in his ear to transition him. I caught them doing it one day when I popped in..which they asked me not to do. PLease please be careful with these yahoos! It caused us alot of pain and I should have sued their booties off! He was placed in a classroom with a child with Down Syndrome and other child in a wheel chaor with a feeding tube with no one to model after. It was terrible. I pulled him after 2 months and have been homeschooling him ever since. He has develeloped well using independant speech and ot therapy. He is a happy 7 year old now doing exceptionally well academically and loves video game, sports and playing with his buddies. Sorry to get on my box about this I rarely post. But I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. Kim
