Guest guest
Brett, I am sorry I took so long to get back to you - bad week for me - not feeling great and I just saw this. I sent you a personal msg with the lawyer info for you. Call him directly to make an apt. Let him know you know Mc and want to set up an appt about what happened. They are great (well he is great and his paralegal is great). You didn't do anything wrong. It's these insurance company's - You just didn't know to get help. You figured you were safe and they got you into a bad situation. Not fair at all. Anyway - they are always up front and will be able to tell you what the next step is and will tell you honestly what your options are and if you want to hire them how it works. They have always been up front - honest, decent guys with me. I hope everything works out. Guest guest
Hi Kirk, I just wanted to let you know that I get those " sudden " sharpt attacks of both pain in certain areas (like out side nees, torso, ankle, out side thumb etc. My Dr. made note of this as " floating inflamatory RA. " NOT a real DX.. Also get the sudden inflamation in areas like inside the elbows & desapears quickly most times, yet a couple they stayed for 4,5 days, it even tuned pink ..The thing is it did ALL this before I was on any kind of med. for it.In fact I haven't done any since I got on pred. MTX. Sulfac.. Now I.m only on 2 Pred.s. ( waiting for approval on Rituxan. So It seems unlikelly to be due to the med. But I wonder if it is helping you since you still go through the process. ??At least it is one opinion. Bye, VIVI **************The year's hottest artists on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards. Guest guest
Hey Kirk, I've been on Kineret for a month or two and have no idea what I'm supposed to expect, as well =\. I hear people say it's helped them so much, but I haven't noticed any " gain " so much as my flare-ups have subsided or are much smaller. I'm really sorry you're experiencing so much pain. I wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy, much less someone as amazing as you. I'm hoping things will slowly turn out for the better (That's the most awful part about this, so much damn TIME that goes into seeing if things change or not!!) -- -
Guest guest
Yo Dude...you tickle the shit out of me ....not that you're in pain..but you always end with something funny...I was on Kineret last year...did seem to help for a short time...you know all the rest about bein in horsenpital and all that...but..my RD chooses it for me, because unlike all the other Biologics...Kineret is only in our systems for 24 hours...I did notice at the time...my body would let me know through various pain signals that i was due another injection...but usually only an hour or two before...I do know that Sir Stills sneaky little bastard that he is hits our bodies unilaterally NOT bilaterally...so my friend hope this helps....Behave Yourself Bro! Larry B. Subject: Question To: " stillsdisease " <Stillsdisease > Date: Tuesday, February 10, 2009, 4:15 PM I have been on Kineret for quite a while now and don't exactly know what I am supposed to notice to see if it is working or not. The reason I ask this is because ever since we started on this " warm spell " (today was in the 50's) most of my major joints are killing me. I wake up at night at least -3x due to VIOLENT pain from my knees, my wrists and ankles hurt more when they are idle, but the pains are sharp. I also noticed the other night my left wrist was swollen like when I first got whacked as the swollen area was hard as a rock and hurt like hell to touch...yet an hour later it was gone. I have a sneaking suspicion it isn't working out, but I figured I'd see if anyone else has encountered this. I called my RD and told his nurse about it, and he wanted me to drive down there today, but that was not practical or even realistic. He is supposed to call me later and I know he is going to want to jack up the roids again. I just got below 10 mg/day last month for the first time in close to a year!!!! Oh well, everything in life does indeed suck...except for the things...... hell, you all know the rest! Later, Kirk. -- Everything in life sucks except things that should! Guest guest
Hey Kirk, Just what you needed, more pain..... boo hiss I was on Kineret, we tried it for a few months but I experienced such bad skin reactions that I couldn't continue, I did, however, notice a sloooooowwww progression of improvement, baby steps over the say 2 months I was on it. And I was beginning to get hopeful and those hopes were dashed when I couldn't continue. I do however, feel like I'm getting some results with the gold treatment. Most notibly the fevers are RECEDING!!!! WHAHOOO, however, still fighting the fatigue and pain. I wish I didn't need to sleep so darn much. I'm resenting this disease so much to taking so much of my day! I really sleep about 12 hours a day right now, which is absolute crap! And then when I do get up, I feet crappy for probably 3 hours before I can shower and then I have to lay down to recover from the shower for about 15 minutes or so, then I can finally start my day, and by then it could be 3pm or even later!!! This stinks so bad (sorry to whine - I'd much rather wine!!!) anyway, I'm sure you'll get a lot of feedback on the Kineret, however, I am concerned about your increase in symptoms. The weather is warming up here in NJ too, and we each respond to the changes in weather differently, but I'm not convinced it's weather related.... I'd at least put a call in to the doc and see what he says.... keep me posted (LOL) hugs, Jo In a message dated 2/10/2009 4:15:28 P.M. Guest guest
My 2 1/2 year old daughter was diagnosed with moderate autism, she's non verbal and has many sensory issues. I'm having trouble getting her to stop biting, not only is she biting other but she bites herself and even my dining table. She will do it if she's excited, upset or even if she wants something. I realize that she doesn't think she has doing anything wrong. She can't seem to understand other's emotions. But she she bit my 3 month old and it was pretty bad. When you tell her no she only retains it for about 5 sec, then she does it again. She's also scratching herself and continues while it's bleeding. I have to keep my eyes on her at all times and it's becoming really hard too do with a newborn. I don't know what too do to get her to stop. Guest guest
Kim Thanks, but we have tried every chewy tube out there and she refuses to bite on them when she's suppose too. We went to speech therapy today and she either bit the therapist or tried too 28 times in 45min. I really need some suggestions. Guest guest
She may be in pain. I believe their behaviors can tell us how to help them. She is communicating in these ways, in the best way that she can. There are behavioral strategies you can learn, however I believe best to get her wellness needs met. SonRise also has ways to deal with these situations. My son used to scratch, pinch his skin. I believe due to inflammation. As we took away what was inflamming his system he began to repair and then loose the autism. One quick sentence that doesn't come close to summing up 5 years of daily work. There are answers for your daughter. Some sites below that may help you. I'm presenting a free workshop Oct 17th at Dr Pothuluri's office on hway 59 in Humble. Dr Pothuluri http://bodyecology.com/autism.php http://www.autism.com/index.asp http://www.autismtreatmentcenter.org/document.php?sectionid=18 & documentid=19 & med\ iatype=video & mediaid=22 & part=0 When early services came to my home when my son was two and I had a newborn baby they said I'd have to keep my children seperated for my daughters safety. I DIED! I decided to believe differently that what the experts said was possible for my son and family. Today my children cuddle together in bed and my son has recovered from autism. Decide to believe and seek out those who share your beliefs. > > > > My 2 1/2?year old daughter was diagnosed with moderate autism, she's non verbal and has many sensory issues.
