Guest guest
I have the exact same problem. My vitamin D is always low but I cant tolerate the sun, foods with vitamin D or supplements. Even though my levels are low, I don't think I need it, but the doctor won't listen. I stopped taking it. The doctors now want to work me up for Sarcoidosis  And I am a Southern California Boy with an addiction to sunshine, my wife too - well she's not a SO Cal boy, but a woman and we walk, I am a sports fanatic outdoors my whole life, and we both were low on D. I have mentioned on here before but vit D -no matter the form - made me feel like dog%!#$ and my feeling was I didn't actually need it, but for some reason it was low. Our 15 year-old son, the only one of the 6 kids who's been tested, was low too.  Seems something is amiss doesn't it? I can see more modern kids who live indoors on computers and gameboys not getting enough sun. One thing I don't get out here in AZ is the non-focus on physical fitness. They shove this global warming crap down our kids throats, ban soda's and other foods from the schools, and yet in junior high PE is only 2 x a week and in high school it is only for a semester and than they have something else the other semester. No wonder obesity is rising and rising among the youth. No activity. And the sunshine they miss too isn't good.  I am 44, but when I was a young boy we were often outside from sunup to sundown playing, running, and 9 months of the year swimming somewhere -in the ocean or someones pool! And sports took up the rest of the time....til we discovered we liked girls...then the whole world changed........point is we LIVED outside more than inside. Not so true anymore. -
