Guest guest
Hi I work in a school in the UK for children with Autism, SLD and extremly challening behaviour. The children board at the school for 39 weeks of the year and go home for school holidays. I have a boy in my class aged 10 he has major isues with bowel movements. He has very strong PICA habit and will mostly eat sring, cotton, paper, plastic bits and foam. He is a very picky eater and refuses to eat all veg and will only eat apple. He will hold himself and camp up everytime he needs to pass a bowel movement as if he is trying to stop himself going. today he was almost sick from tensing his stomch so much. He is now on regular bowel medication to get things moving but this doesn't seem to be working. I feel that he has a phobia of going to the toilet. Does anyone have any tips on how to stop this anxiety? please dont say GFCF diets because he would NOT eat anything.
