Hey Elly, I just wanted to let you know that received that horrid

looking thing today (just kidding! He is rubbing it in my face though,

filling it with ice water, taking it to football practice and having

everyone look when I went to take a slug out of it!!!!) and he is very happy

with it, even if he is the " WRONG " kind of hockey fan (I.E. The correct kind

of hockey fan bleeds Red, White & Blue (AVALANCHE)!!!!)

We are going away for a couple of days (camping in the woods.....I hope

my headaches stay a shade below average so that I can actually enjoy it) and

will be back late Sunday. We will then get a roll of film developed as we're

going to send you a few pics of & his Red Blings " cup " (that damn

thing is HUGE!) and such. He is working on a Thank You letter.

I just wrote this to personally thank you and let you know that it was

received in fine condition. Thanks again. Kirk.

PS.....don't you love some of these photographers??? I've seen some

really bad pictures of some of the kids I've coached. It seems they have

some sort of instinct of exactly when to hit the camera trigger button!!! A

picture of his butt huh? I bet he loves that! At least it is funny.

Have a good one, Kirk.

this report below, from Radio New Zealand, is a big deal for us in Canada. British Commonwealth countries are on much the same page, in laws

this is the thin edge of the wedge ... governments finding a face-saving way to admit that raw milk dairying can be done safely

it's not that they won't come around ... it's that they're slow to come around

===================

Food Safety Minister Kate Wilkinson says it is time the New Zealand market was opened for local producers to make cheeses from unpasteurised milk.

Ms Wilkinson says none of the 13 submissions to the Food Safety Authority, which is considering the issue, oppose the principle of allowing a wider range of imported and locally made unpasteurised milk cheeses to be sold in New Zealand.

She says raw-milk cheeses such as emmental and rocquefort are imported already, and it is time the New Zealand market was opened up for its own producers, as long as the integrity of the food safety system is maintained.

Ms Wilkinson says the Food Safety Authority will brief her early next month and she aims to issue draft standards in September.
