Guest guest
I live in NY and have a 4 mo old " jersey cross " heifer that needs a home. She is black and has ringworm. but is otherwise healthy. We used to only have people drop off cats and dogs, but this is the third bovine drop off this year. Last week we got a delivery from a friend whose son's girlfriend knew someone....well, you get the idea. I have no information on this calf other than she was not in a good situation and is now on our farm eating good hay and a little local organic grain she sneaks out of our sheep creep. We have plenty of our own cows and calves and are only doing this as our family's food, not a business. If anyone is interested in her as a family cow, please contact me off list saraho92@... Guest guest
FYI: I am milking 2 angus x cows and they can be a nice family cow. Also, I have gotten Holstein x Angus heifer calves, not twins, from a good area farmer in the past at 3 days old (he lets them nurse the first 3 days) for $75. We are currently milking one, the other is a brood cow. www.MajestyFarm.com " The only thing we learn from history, I am afraid, is that we do not learn from history.” -Ron From: RawDairy [mailto:RawDairy ] On Behalf Of saraho92 Sent: Wednesday, March 25, 2009 11:27 AM To: RawDairy Subject: Re: Bottle Baby Calf Prices I live in NY and have a 4 mo old " jersey cross " heifer that needs a home.
