Hello all;

It has taken just a LONG time to be able to open the bio of the speaker's

information for the conference this year. I'm so sorry. I don't have the

programs loaded on my computer yet. But, finally I have figured it out, so here

it is for those of you that are going or if not, would like to buy his book.

Bob Sheff, M.D., Bio

February 2, 2007

Dr. Bob Sheff is a retired Radiologist who worked for over 27 years with the

Columbia Medical Plan/Patient Medical Group where he served both as a clinician

and a wide variety of leadership roles including Medical Director and President.

He also served as an insurance executive for Blue Blue of land where he was

a Senior Vice President and president of their then four HMO's. He has served on

many County non-profit boards including the Columbia Foundation, the

United Way Partnership of County, and Leadership County. He

continues to serve on the Boards of Humanism and is the chairman of The Horizon

Foundation board at this time. He worked with his wife, Arlene, to raise money

for County General Hospital's the Children's Garden II at Columbia

Memorial Park. Bob has written a book entitled The Medical Mentor to help people

navigate through the health care system.

Although arguably the world's best health care is available in this country, few

people have not found it frustrating to access that care at their doctor's

office or the hospital. And the insurance companies seem to be more barriers to

health care than payers for it. You can learn to be your own patient advocate

and push through these barriers. Dr. Bob Sheff will help you gain the skill and

knowledge to get the health care you deserve where you want it, when you want

it, and from whom you want it!

Thank you

Once again, if you cannot attend and wish to purchase his book just follow this
