Subject: Seeking farmers for DC farmers' market

Dear Farmers and friends,

I'm Market Director for the Mount Pleasant Farmers' Market in Washington DC

this year, running Saturdays from 9am - 1pm, May 3 - Nov 22. We're

" producer only " , meaning our vendors are the farmers themselves (or their

kin, or employees involved in production). We're also " local foods " : the

Mid-Atlantic states of Virginia, land, Delaware, Pennsylvania, West

Virginia, and the District of Columbia. We do a brisk trade and are growing

every year.

I've got 6 great produce vendors and an awesome French baker, but we've

always wished we had someone to sell dairy, especially milk, and a cheese

monger would be a great asset too. I also just lost my meat vendor, they

were scaling back, so I'm looking for someone with beef, pork, chickens,

and/or eggs. I know I've seen mention on the list of other farmers, but I'm

specifically looking for someone who wants to commit to a Saturday market.

On an outside chance someone knows a fisherman or woman, it'd be great to

provide seafood too!

If you think you know someone who'd be interested, please contact me off

list.

Yours, Mrs. Higgins

Rebbie Higgins

Market Director

Mount Pleasant Farmers' Market
