Guest guest
Dear Everyone first of all, Happy New Year - let's hope this is a really positive year for all of us with progress and breakthroughs for our children, our families and in the autism world. secondly, we have a 12 year old who is not really into computers, but as a triumph of hope over experience we have bought him a basic iPad for Christmas, having heard what an amazing effect it has had on some of the american children with autism. Does anyone have any BASIC app ideas for children with autism - we have found a good one which talks when you press the word which is great, but some basic spelling and maths ones would be good, and some basic fun ones? does anyone have any ideas, or any non autistic children with ideas? our other children thought their brother would like Angry Birds but it is too frantic for him -something calmer, and easier to see would be good. he seems to like the back lit screen and we have put some favourite pictures on so far ,and asked his school to prioritise using his iPad for communication purposes. Praying for a miracle here, but would love any ideas. thanks so much Alison
