Guest guest
Dear NevinWe have never used a parasite formula with Tash because of her overall chemical sensitivity... There are a couple of very natural remedies which are good with parasites.. One is eating ground up pumpkin seeds as they contain a natural substance which kills the critters.. and secondly a lot of garlic.. roasted whole head of garlic .. roast until it is soft... and then use like a spread on toast or crackers.. If the supps are too toxic and drawn blood into the stomach to deal with them... or detox too fast.. and again draw too much blood to stomach.. it is a recipe for seizure activity... also the atmospheric pressure at the moment is creating a lot of problems for kids with epileptic tendencies... although we have had NO seizures hear this week. Tash has been very emotionally volatile!! I would be very careful with what supps you use, and add for your son... our epileptic kids need to have slow changes made to foods and supps... and allow a long time before each addition of new therapies and supps... else it sets them into a seizure cycle... They are extremely delicate flowers!!! Traceyx Hello! Last night my son strongly showed pre seizures symptoms ,I was really scared that he would have another one.He had very short one tonic clonic seizure on Monday. Last two day I started giving him Biotonic, Biocidin , Profolora drops. He had biocidin in the past without any problems but I am suspicous about Biotonic which it has lots of stuff in it, possbily herbs..Dr Goyal recommended for parasities cleaning again.Since we started these in the last two days he had twitching his body, like shoulder twitch. His head shaking and blinking has been going on sometime. One night before the seizure once again he had funny lauhgter which possibly indicates the gut condition, perhaps Ammonia, glutamate issue! Therefore I strongly believe his seizures links with his gut.Interestingly he doesn't seem to have constipation and last Comprehensive test shows marked improvement! Thanks to Autism File ,in the last issue there is DR AMy Yasko's article about the bacterial Imbalances and seizure " link.I will copy and send it to both Dr Goyal and our neurolog.Perhaps they may focus on this more. I stopped the parasities treatment, it is not easy to reach Dr Goyal nowadays! My fear is my son can not take any more treatment for the parasities..Last month I gave him OVex (bought from the chemist) he had a very bad seizure on the second dose in 15 days..It contains mebendazole..In the past he showed reaction to metrodinazole but now his reactions are extreme, whatever you deal with his gut, reactions are bad. It's like poking something and in return perhaps seizure!!!!..How can I clear the nasty Blasto hominis in his body , I don't know. Has anyone used that Biotonic supplement before, any reaction? Guest guest
Not seizure related but treating parasites with herbals can be very hard on the body surely? VRM1 took Tom back about 2 years, for example. He's also got blasto cystis hominis and we've never successfully cleared it so we're inclined to boost the rest of him to make it less of a problem. He loves his garlic mind you, so they're hardy parasites! OoO is tolerated and so is artemisin - but still wary of giving for long periods - what does anyone else do with these two? > > > > > > > Hello! > > > > Last night my son strongly showed pre seizures symptoms ,I was really > > scared that he would have another one.He had very short one tonic clonic > > seizure on Monday. Guest guest
As you know I really rate KiB500 (www.benchmark health.co.uk) for clearing blastocystis hominis. If this is not right for your child for whatever reason then here is a cut and paste from Nutri-Link (Mike Ash): Blastocystis HominisFor your information, Ash has written about B Hominis on our education website: http://tinyurl.com/37b9gbq, do have a look at this article. This link takes you to the 10 articles on the website that discuss SIgA: http://tinyurl.com/2fbqp4x. It is eminently sensible to support the innate immune system when faced with a parasite, yeast and unwanted bacteria. The product Saccharomyces Boulardii (AR) is the product of choice to boost SIgA levels: http://tinyurl.com/35392bw. The dose is 1 with each meal. This may be best used both before and after the A.D.P., which has anti-yeast effects, and is therefore not recommended to be taken with it.S. Boulardii can be used alongside Metronidazole, however, at a dose of 1 with each meal.Biotics Research’s A.D.P. emulsified, sustained release oregano extract product has a patent for eradicating B. Hominis. For product info click here: http://tinyurl.com/27ma9gh. I have used this in clinic for many years and it is successful in most in reducing the symptoms, but not all of these patients achieve complete eradication. Sometimes, a longer period of time on the A.D.P. at 12 per day is needed, and sometimes alternative products are needed. The dose for A.D.P. to address the B. Hominis is:A.D.P. (BR) – 5 with each meal for 7 days, then 4 with each meal for 35 days (42 days in total). Some practitioners add Tricycline (AR) - http://tinyurl.com/34yv3ey - to provide a more powerful anti-parasitic effect. The dose is 1 with each meal. This product is not to be used for more than 42 consecutive days due to its potential impact on liver enzymes – which need to be checked before continuing.Tricylcine (AR) - 1 with each mealRe-testing requires prior avoidance of all digestive related supplements for 2 full weeks. Symptomatic assessment is recommended at regular intervals during the process. If flagyl @ 400 mg a day has proved ineffective at removing blasto and the patient cannot tolerate oregano oil can you suggest something else? A higher dose of flagyl or heavy metal testing? My first question is whether the patient can tolerate the A.D.P. oregano product which releases its active ingredients in a sustained format, as opposed to a softgel which opens its contents directly into the stomach and can be too harsh for some patients. The A.D.P. is a hard tablet but is much kinder to the patient's stomach because of the slow release of its active ingredients. A.D.P. is also typically more effective at addressing B. Hominis and other unwelcome bacteria, parasites and yeast in the GI tract and systemically (the carvacrol is emulsified in the A.D.P.) than oregano oil softgels. If this is not tolerated, then there are two other courses of action I can suggest.1. It would be wise to return to the patient's health history model and explore other aspects as to why the B. Hominis cannot be cleared. This may include exploring the likelihood of immune compromise by toxic metals or viruses, the former being something one can test for more easily.1. There may be other parasites or bacteria and yeast that are compromising the host immunity and these may need to be addressed before successful elimination of the B. Hominis. Of course, one would have expected the flagyl to have dealt with some of these, anyway, I acknowledge.1. SIgA testing may be worthwhile, and a programme for innate immune support may well be worth pursuing for a month. This may include these products:S. Boulardii (ARG) - 1 with each mealBio-Ae-mulsion Forte (1002 - BRC) - 2 drops at dinnerBio-D-Mulsion Forte (1012 - BRC) - 3 drops at breakfastBioDoph-7 Plus (1285 - BRC) - 1 with each meal http://tinyurl.com/36nr8frAfter the month, the use of anti-microbials may be more effective, alongside a colon cleansing product such as BRC's Colon Plus Caps at a dose of 3-6 in between meals twice daily, at least for 2 weeks. In my opinion, in such as case, I would tend to focus on the innate immune system and strengthen that aspect of a patient's health. I would also consider using Tricycline (ARG) alongside the A.D.P. (if it is tolerated), at a dose of 1 with each meal.
Guest guest
Just to let you know, any Treating Autism members thinking of buying KiB500, TA has negotiated a discount which will be unveiled in the next TA newsletter (out in about a week's time). Guest guest
When your ds had the regression with VRM1 was this reversed when he stopped taking it, or did it's effects linger on in his system? Guest guest
Our son recently had blasticistus hominis show up in a test. Our nutritionist has put him on a form of oil of oregano called ADP by Biotics Research Corp., available from NutriLink ltd. It has been shown to be effective against BH yet gentle on the body otherwise. He did say that artemesia can be hard on the liver and should not be used for more than a few weeks before testing to see how the liver is coping. Hope this helps.
