Guest guest
Hi Alison, I tried the pee bag when my son was younger and it worked for a while, but he got to the point where he didn't like the feel of it on him and took it off!!! A good alternative to this i found was putting a wodge of cotton wool or something like a flannel in his nappy, this i would usually do before he woke up in the morning, so when he peed i could just remove this and wring it out into a large plastic container and then transfer to an appropriate testing kit. This method is not very hygenic i know and you cant use it if he has a BM at the same time, but needs must. I have done several OATs successfully this way. Even my GP has said its ok to do it like this for a UTI test as they can still look at other stuff, not just the bacteria to see if he has an infection. hth, Nikki x > > > > Well I've eventually got the methylation panel bloodspot tests sent for both my children - what a faff! > > > > To those who have already done this - do you have to pay the customs tax for each testing kit they send out to you? > > > > What happens re: customs tax when the samples get to the US? > > > > Also, has anyone had success in collecting urine samples for a child still in nappies (and very unco-operative)! > > > > Many thanks > > > > Alison R > > >
Guest guest
If you can get hold of some old fashioned type sanitary towels (not the type that hold the liquid in) then these can be slipped into the nappy and contents wrung/syringed out) jane x > > > > > > > > Well I've eventually got the methylation panel bloodspot tests sent for > > both my children - what a faff! > > > > > > > > To those who have already done this - do you have to pay the customs > > tax for each testing kit they send out to you? > > > > > > > > What happens re: customs tax when the samples get to the US? > > > > > > > > Also, has anyone had success in collecting urine samples for a child > > still in nappies (and very unco-operative)! > > > > > > > > Many thanks > > > > > > > > Alison R > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
