Body Vive 9

This morning was my first time doing the Body Vive format.  I really like it!  You use a " Vive " ball - a pilates weighted ball works just fine.  You also use resistance tubing, to Junior's delight, as in his mind this is a " dangly " and something to swat, attack, and chew.

Body Vive is a one hour, low impact aerobics workout with strength training via resistance tubing and the Vive Ball.  I appreciate how knee and foot friendly it is!  My heart rate did get up and I did sweat, and this workout would be perfect for beginners and seniors too because it's low impact and the choreography is very simple, yet effective.  The sections are:

1) warmup2) more of the same, didn't catch the name of the section3) dance cardio4) active cardio5) cardio fitness7) balance and leg strength - loved this part!8) biceps and triceps with tubing

9) hips with tubing (think ChaLEAN Extreme here, OW OW OW!) 10) abs using the Vive ball11) upper back strengthening with tubing12) stretchI will run at lunch today, and tomorrow it's back to Body Pump 74. This weekend I *must* do some yin yoga, as the intense workouts from this week are requiring a long, thorough stretch.

Another thing I like about working out in the morning and again at lunch is that I can use the healthier, natural deodorant instead of antipersirant, which some think may contribute to Alzheimer's from the aluminum content.  The natural stuff doesn't work as well, but if you're taking 3 baths/showers a day it's just fine!

Looking forward to running today at lunch.  Icing my knee has really helped a lot!  It's not at 100% by any means but it's much better than it has been.  Hope everyone has a great day in Fitness!
