That is great . Since I need to do lower intensity workouts for the next few weeks, I, too, need to be more diligent with my intake. not tonight though - it is Halloween and I will eat *some* candy. :)

Hi there,

I did manage to log every meal for October in Sparkpeople. It's so helpful to me! After my 100k ride in August, I had a month of recovery, but it was very hard for me to eat less. I had grown accustomed to eating whatever I wanted when I was riding tons during the summer. I was sometimes riding around 225 miles per month. You can eat! Then, if you have a recovery month, make sure you adjust your food, or else the waistline goes kaBOOM!

Mid September, my weight had bumped up to 152. I'm at 144 thanks to some diligent food logging and consistent exercise. My food calories aren't even that low, but low enough. Will need new clothes by the end of the year. I want to get under 140 by the end of the year. I can go slow.

During October, I rode 94 miles and walked 29. I completed STS mesocycle 1.

I will continue to log everything in Sparkpeople. Their iPhone app is da bomb.

Yearly totals:

Year-to-date bike miles: 1329

Year-to-date walk miles: 331

Total human powered miles: 1660

Happy workouts! Let me know if you want to join me in a November food logging challenge. It works!

Great!

I've eaten some (plus most of a donut, our fire department puts out donuts and cider, candy bags for the kids and has a fire truck lead the kids around the village) and will log it (sigh) as soon as the kids go to bed (in a few minutes).

When I got it all logged in, I ended up 3 WW points over my target for the day, which is a whole lot better than I'd thought I'd done! I felt a lot better putting it down on paper too. Owning it, as opposed to hiding from it makes it easier to make better choices. I had one more piece of candy after writing that post yesterday but that was a big deal, only one more as opposed to 5 or 6 more. Knowing I had to be accountable for it and write it down made it a lot easier to stop at 1 more.

I've been logging my food, especially after one of your posts and it's made a big difference in my food choices - thank you . One thing I'm finding is that I'm almost afraid to eat (not good) but I am eating clean and healthy and every 2 to 3 hours, my stomach can't tolerate large, heavy meals anymore....sorry, didn't mean to turn this discussion to me.

I'm sure you'll be under 140 by the end of the year, if not by scale by pant size for sure. You have great resolve and stick to it, if you falter we are here for youHugs,

Vennitta

Hi Vennitta,Thank you so much! I hope it'll help you! Sometimes I get that feeling when I restart logging, but that feeling usually passes once the logging becomes routine.

I can't eat that way anymore either. I almost feel poisoned when I do. My days are too busy to deal with that toxic feeling.Take care!
