Guest guest
Hi Everyone, It was Sculpt 5/6 again this morning. I am not burned out on this (yet) but it is the first week, so that may change. I do enjoy knowning what is coming up so I can pick the appropriate weights. I modified the "heavy pants" (rows) today by propping my foot on the fanny lifter - that helped and did not strain my back at all, so I will up the weights next time and continue w/ that modification. Everything else went well. I doubled up on the leg exercises - at the end of the workout I just ran through the circuit of leg exercises on my own - they are pretty comprehensive - hitting hamstrings, glutes, thighs. My add on today was Sara Ivanhoe's Yoga Makeover "sculpted buns and thighs" - this had a nice blend of strengthening and stretching postures - although, it is not a "must have" - as the routine doesn't contain anything really unusual or special. Sara is a good instructor though and the outside scenery is nice. I generally prefer a more restorative practice, but in the mornings, my mind is too busy for that, so I like to do more active yoga in the morning. Anyway, my additions this week of Pilates and yoga have really helped. I feel more limber and less tight and achey and also a little less stressed/anxious. I'm trying to be more aware of breathing and being calm. So I need to keep that up. Perhaps will add in some Classical Stretch as well. Hope everyone has a good Thursday!Donna
