Which is bogus unless they have contact with your blood. (ie razors, washrags, toothbrushes, etc) When my bf and I broke up I got in a new relationship and even before we got physical the guys mom became very concerned because of it. (she is a longtime friend, older, but still a dear friend) She had several not so private talks with me about my hep. It was so embarrassing. My bf and I got back together and it is a relief for someone to be educated in it. I am the one who educated him, but he was never real concerned other than for me. (sometimes not enough there either) What I eventually did was print out some paper work from a government website showing that the disease is almost impossible to transfer sexually, especially with proper precautions (ie period, no anal etc) AND we used condoms every time, I insisted with the other guy, eventually I realized I didn't want to be with him and got back together with my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years. he was with me when I found out. I am looking into bariatric surgury, I am very fat, and I found good news today that as long as the liver function is adequate then I can have the surgury, so I will see what can be done about it. It gave me a bit of hope. My sis has had it in July and she has already lost 70 lbs, which is a little less than half of her goal weight. I really want it done. I hope you have a better day tomorrow. I research on the internet almost every day and joining this group, in the first day I had more info than I had found in 2 years since I was diagnosed. Best of luck to you. Stacey Wonderful!
