Guest guest
Is it possible that it is the acid in the kombucha that is bothering you? Coughing after ingesting something acidic can be a sign of reflux. > > Hello everyone, > > Looking for a little feedback, experiences, or empirical data to provide answers to the issue I have of developing a chronic cough - the likes of which I haven't had in over 10 years - since beginning my KT journey, which has now lasted for nearly 2 months! It started as a " high thoat " scratchy type cough, which has now settled into my chest and seems to get worse for 30 minutes or so right after I drink any of my home brew, produces a little phlegm and then tapers off again throughout the day and starts after I engage in a phone call or regular conversation. > My first experience with KT was a full 16oz offering from a friend to introduced me to KT and then let me consume the whole bottle within a 15-20 minute conversation! I've since bought books and learned from this group that you shouldn't attempt more than 2oz's your first time and to limit daily intake to around 8oz's. I'm wondering if that threw me in to a major detox for which I still haven't fully exited from? > Anyone out there experience the same thing or able to offer any suggestions of what to do? A one week Z-Pack antibiotic regimen didn't help about 2 weeks ago. > TIA and thanks for all the wonderful posts and information ya'll share so freely! > Chuck >
Guest guest
Hi Chuck, If you are concerned that KT may be detoxing your body too quickly the solution for that is to either stop it for awhile or just cut back the amount of KT and be sure to drink a lot of plain water. You should be able to tell quite quickly whether or not KT is connected to your chest congestion. There are many herbal decongestion formulas that can be very helpful for clearing the lungs. Be sure to drink enough fluids too. I hope you feel better very soon.
