Hi LizI recently wondered the same question since my daughter's curve got up to 74 degrees. I called the nurse and she said there was no need to see any other doctor's for that reason unless we suspected something. We see her pediatrician and the orthopedic and thats it. We are going back to have Hadley's cast off for a wk on Wednesday and just to reassure myself, i think ill ask the Doctor too. If you ask your doctor, let us know what his response is. I would just give Angie a call and have her relay your question to

Dr D'Astous. I'm sure he could tell you what type of doc to see and

maybe even recommend someone in particular. My guess would be that

if he felt Kiera needed a pulmonary assessment he would have

mentioned something to you, but I would call anyway just to be sure.

Hi , Keira is doing well, we just finished our 5th week. I am amazed how well she has adopted to the cast. Our first big cast meltdown only happened last week when she brought me the bathgel and asked, "I take bath?". When I told her 'No, because of the cast", she simply lost it and sobbed for 15 minutes. It was heartbreaking, but I actually was surprised that we hadn't had a 'cast' moment earlier. I plan to call Angie about the pulmon issue. They also changed our next cast date as they are moving 'casting' dates to thursday on the schedule. I hope what they say is true that the first cast is the worse.... How are you folks doing? Hi , allow me to but in. I still shower my daughter even with a cast. I wrap her with a raincoat then just wash her hair. Recently because of the heat I would spray the water all over her body (which of course is wrap with a rain coat).

To and to others who have read my post before about this raincoat..I bet this is not new anymore.

How old is your child ? How do you get your child into the shower and not get his/her cast wet? Id love to try it, but arent you afraid to get the cast wet at all? id probably end up soaking Hadley! With Keira, she is 26 months, it isn't an issue of taking a shower. For her the bath/shower represents fun time with her bath toys and sister. We have had no problems with washing the hair in the sink as the ISOP page demonstrated, nor with cleaning up with sponge baths. LizShauna Rorabeck wrote: How old is your child ? Oh no! LOL That's not me.... Ethelyn showers her daughter in a raincoat. Noelle is only 20 months and I sponge bathe her standing up in my sink and lay her on the counter and use the spray nozzle to do her hair. I am not that adventurous yet!!!!
