Guest guest
Hi Amy and EveryOne, Kefir grains and Kombucha both contain combinations of yeasts and bacteria. The difference is in the particular yeasts and bacteria found in each. They may have some in common but they are also different. To get the benefits of Kombucha you need Kombucha. To get the benefits of Kefir you need Kefir. If you combine the two you may also get benefits or not, but the result is unknown. Keep us posted about your experience. Guest guest
DOM's site has info on his experiments combining the two, but I believe he used BOTH the kefir grain AND the kombucha scoby. http://onibasu.com/archives/km/13696.html That archive has the article and links. What I have found so far is it tastes exactly like Kombucha, but must faster. -- Amy from WA
