Hi Anita,

Sorry if this is a dumb question but my son certainly shows low Magnesium

and Calcium, and high Potassium and Sodium on hair test, which relates to

too much adrenaline and not enough Cortisol, so are you saying that Adrenal

Cortex Extract would help in this situation?

He definately is very emotional and goes from a high to a low in seconds,

being easily frustrated. He eats huge amounts for his age (8) and is very

" full on " . We are 2 years in on chelation (Cutler protocol) and have halved

his mercury burden (although still above the ref level) and reduced his Lead

so that it is now only 20% above the recommended reference level.

Any thoughts much appreciated.

Kay.

Dear listmates,

It's my belief that a lot of ASD kids have adrenal problems and are

going without help in this area. Recently I've talked to a couple

moms about this and said I would post a kind of summary about what I

know.

The hair elements

test from DDI that many of us have used can also show adrenal

stress. If calcium and magnesium go one way and sodium and potassium go the

other, this

is indicative of adrenal stress. If sod/pot are high and cal/mag are

low, this would mean too much adrenaline and not enough cortisol.

Hi Anita

Many thanks.

I have some ACE in the cupboard, so will give it a go.

Re: adrenal information

Hi Kay,Your son's results are the opposite of mine. However, in everything I've looked at from Andy regarding adrenal support, it seems to me to be about the same. You might want to look through onibasu to see if you can find more specific stuff about high adrenaline kids.I would use some ACE, but also make sure my son was getting lots of frequent C, frequent B's (esp B5 but my son also needed tons of B2), zinc, cal, mag, E. Some kids go wiggy with the introduction of ACE, but it doesn't mean they won't benefit from it. Start slowly and then build up. Some kids, like mine, need quite high doses. DS takes about 625 mgs a day now as maintenance.I hope that helps.Anita>> Hi Anita,> > Sorry if this is a dumb question but my son certainly shows low Magnesium > and Calcium, and high Potassium and Sodium on hair test, which relates to > too much adrenaline and not enough Cortisol, so are you saying that Adrenal > Cortex Extract would help in this situation?> > He definately is very emotional and goes from a high to a low in seconds, > being easily frustrated.
