Guest guest
Hi ,  MS is the pits. So sorry. I have CFS/FM/osteoarthritis and I am doing everything I can to stay healthy. For diseases that have no cause and certainly there would be no medical cure until they determine the cause...all we can do is try to tread water. KT helps me to keep my head above water. But I also do other things. They say that there is fluoride even in organic tea. One thing to try to do is find veggies that pesticides have not been used on. Fluoride or similar chemicals can be in the pesticides that are used. So at least wash fruits and veggies carefully.  What I have found is that boron the mineral chelate can counteract fluoride so I have started to take chelated boron at each meal. Please do some research on this. I might have found it in info on Dr. Brownstein's...I don't remember. But that might be a name to google.  Unfortunately it is in the water we drink, in the toothpaste some of use(not me) and maybe even in the air...who knows. Dentists use it even when we are not informed. I finally found out it was in the stuff they were cleaning my teeth with. I aught to have been told. I finally got them to use something that had no fluoride in it.  But my best suggestion is to get chelated boron. It's quite inexpensive and does not build up in the body so it is safe to take at every meal. But as I said please do your own research.  ann ________________________________ To: original_kombucha Sent: Tuesday, February 14, 2012 6:14 PM Subject: A Crazy Question on Fluoride  I love KT (short for Kombucha) and my Wife is getting it daily. She has Multiple Sclerosis and is currently bed ridden. I recently have come across the problem of Fluoride in common Teas, esp., black Tea. Being a follower of Dr. G. , I findblack tea indispensable. I use common store brand, or Lipton tea bags. There is lore on them having more Fluoride in them then loose teas. I filter my water to a 0ppm of dissolved solids. The question is: Does the acid(s) in Kombucha somehow dissolve the fluoride, changing it into a acceptable non-toxic form, or does it make the flouride just pass out through the urine? I have searched the internet for 4 days looking for the answer, no good. With my wife having, but not wanting MS, I am quite concerned on the toxicity of Fluoride. And would like to know if some true chemist knows the answer of what Kombucha does to it. My hypothosis is this: The acid(s) in Kombucha somehow change the fluoride into something good, as how can a remedy for a toxic body, which seems to cure the body, contain toxicity and toxic substances? Very Curious here. M
Guest guest
Thank you ann, I will most definitely look in to the boron cleatation and its effect on fluoride. I find it amazing how simular the symptoms of both CFS/ME and MS and a few other " uncurable " illnesses are to the symptoms of fluoride poisoning. Have you looked into removing fluoride, and bromine from your body. I read various thing, ei., Borax (but not boric acid, or boron). Check it out. I googled removing Fluoride and found some good stuff on that. Guest guest
Hi , The only teas that I have found that do not contain chemical fluoride are the Organic ones and they too may contain some natural fluoride but none from chemical fertilizers or pesticides. It is better to make your Kombucha from water filtered to remove chlorine and fluorine and teas that are organic if possible. As far as I know the Kombucha cannot remove either one. Guest guest
Hi Jame, I have read that Vitamin D levels are often low in MS. If your wife's Vit D levels have not been checked with a blood test it might be a good thing to do. Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev > > I love KT (short for Kombucha) and my Wife is getting it daily. Guest guest
Hi , One way to remove fluorine, chlorine and bromine from your body is by taking iodine. The body needs iodine and it helps in many ways but has been replaced in many foods with the other halogens. Dr. Browstein, mentioned in another post from Ann, wrote a book called Iodine. Very much worth reading before trying to get rid of halogens as the process must be done slowly and correctly to avoid side effects. Guest guest
Thank you so much for the help, I currently filter my water to 0 ppm using a TDS tester to get that reading, and a certain type of filtration device ( to not plug any thype that is), and have found the KT has a better flavor after 8-10 days of primary frementaion. I also understand that most wines, beers , and ciders(esp. apple) have boron in them. I havent found anything stating that boron might be in Kombucha, but figure through general reasoning that there must be something there that inhibits toxins from gaining a destructive force on all of us, since KT is concidered a great detoxifier. Pinning that down might be a rather hard problem to solve. I would consider using loose leaf teas, if the cost wasnt astronomical compared to basic bagged teas; understandably higher in Fluoride. Even so, the Kombucha is helping my wife,Emma, to a greater degree then I previously hoped for, she has been insisting to be removed from her bed more often. Insisting. Before she would just lay there and need turning ever so often. Her mental state is getting better also. Sorry, she just asked for some more KT. Science cannot find the reason for MS, but, as kombucha helps maybe we can. On MS, wouldnt fluoride inhibit Vit D3 uptake, along with Calcium, Leaving a not so good state for healing. I cant put my fingere on it, but believe Kombucha somehow makes transitions that hender toxins like fluoride from staying in the body. If thins is so, It would explain even the cancer reports, MS, and other " chronic " dis-eases, caused by environmental exposures. Sorry, for dumping a vast rant. I only feel that somehow the reason is out there, but we are not seeing it yet. Im still looking, and will be for as long as needed. Thanks, M > > > > I love KT (short for Kombucha) and my Wife is getting it daily. Guest guest
Hi ,  It is certain in my mind that KT is detoxifying. That is why I try to use decent ingredients. I try to drink enough water to make sure the released toxins leave my body. I also try to exercise appropriate for my health conditions. Has anyone suggested some sort of physical therapy for your wife?  For years I visited and ocassionally helped care for a member of my church who was diagnosed with primary MS.  Very little alternative/non-medical treatment was used for her. You might want to look into Low Dose Naletrexone for your wife. There is a yahoo group that includes many MS sufferers who have found some good alternative treatments...no cures that I have ever heard.  I believe the yahoo group is lowdosenaltrexone .  Can you get help caring for your wife?  ann     ________________________________ To: original_kombucha Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2012 9:00 PM Subject: Re: A Crazy Question on Fluoride  Thank you so much for the help, I currently filter my water to 0 ppm using a TDS tester to get that reading, and a certain type of filtration device ( to not plug any thype that is), and have found the KT has a better flavor after 8-10 days of primary frementaion. Guest guest
Thank you again, ann. The LDN is well looking into, at first I was confusing it with another therapy that Emma tryed years ago with minimal success, but only minimal, Low Dose Novantrone. These two have the same initials, both look the same as LDN, The 2 are totally differant. One is a low dose Chemo-therapy, and the other a low dose Endorphine drug. How strange. The journey of dots are beginning to connect. From Kombucha and fluoride; to Boron and LDN. With Selenium, Iodine and more in the midst. Who would have known a simple curiousity, could produce a wealth of vastly informative things. Selenium and Boron explains a simlpe Soft boiled Egg, and some Nettle Tea aiding my wife also. Even the fact that her ancestrial people were mainly fish and vegatable consumers from the South easten reagions of land opens a few windows. That window is that Iodine is needed in larger amounts in people that come from groups of pple that eat larger amounts of iodine prior to moving to the USA. Kombucha is like the catalist that enables a greater absorbsion of the minerals we need, albeit taken from out diet. KT seems to allow an nicer transition through digestion. Opening channel, or switching them back in time to a more original, unpolluted, path of usfulness. Thanks Again ( all are welcome to offer help, and I will lok into all things helpful.)
