Guest guest
Hi Bill, You can travel. Jeff is on tx now, We just came back from Richmond Race, which was about 400 miles away. I just have a small bag for his daily meds that he takes, and take another few days worth just in case. If we go over shot day, we take that along also. You need a small ice cooler, since it needs to be cold. I also have a list of all meds he is on, dose etc. just in case something were to happen and he needed to go to hospital. I think it is good to get away for alittle and do something different. You will have a good time. What about driving ?Do you need to have a medical center where you are heading to protect you from unusual occurances ?What safe gaurds does one require to protect ones self ?Or should one just stay around home all the time ?I love for relaxation to do some gambling at an Indian Casino but its out in the boonies.I really don't know the effects of travel on a persons condition. Finally what about during TX ? Guest guest
I can’t speak to the cirrhosis questions, but I would think there are no issues unless you’re decompensated and have the brain fog that might get you lost or you’re on lactulose and need to be close to bathrooms! Lol As for tx, I had to drive from north to south GA frequently to visit my son in jail & military school. I always took someone with me to help drive because I got uncomfortable in one position for a long time and because of the fatigue. However, there was one night when they evacuated the school for a hurricane and although I had mom with me, she doesn’t drive well at night, I ended up driving straight thru both ways in the pouring rain with no problem but exhaustion at the end. Guest guest
Travelling shouldn't be any problem. I flew to Vegas a few years back myself, cirrhosis & all. Just stay out of the heat & sun as much as possible, stay away from the booze & eat regularly. Make sure you stay well hydrated too. Other than that - HAVE FUN. That's important for us all.
