Guest guest
I am new to natural perfume, but am certified in clinical aromatherapy, as with everything else in my life I'm trying to re teach myself how to do everything more natural. Have been experimenting with EOs but have much to learn. Really appreciate everyones post, I read them all! If I should win, I would appreciate receiving the textbook. Guest guest
How far have we come as an industry in the past 10 years! I bet you've seen a lot of maturing and growth in that time! My favourite things about the Guild are how it connect me to other perfumers from across the world (its easy to feel isolated living in Australia as we are so far away from everyone else!), and also the technical information I can glean either by asking questions of the members, or by looking back at old files and posts. Id love to win a copy of the textbook if Im chosen. Warm regards Liz Cook One Seed www.oneseedcomapny.com
Guest guest
The best thing about this group is the combined knowledge of many individuals with separate experiences in natural perfumery, who are always venturing to push boundaries in their art. Often, the clever tips and solutions shared here originate from an artist's experience, and are not the sort of thing that one can simply look up in a textbook or reference! I love natural aromatics because they create an environment that feels right and gives a sense of peace. We are meant to live surrounded by natural smells, just as our ancestors did. If I am lucky in the draw, I would love Anys's textbook. Congratulates Anya on 10 years! Thank you for dedicating your efforts to fostering such a cohesive and knowledgeable community. Guest guest
Ok let me see, 10 years, long time, perfumery evolved and the market evolved too.Since I live in the Middle East I traveled to a massive perfumery fair at the end of may in Dubai, Beautyworld 2012. There were hundreds of traders not only of naturals but of synthetics as well there was a section for hair, nails, Bottles and of course perfumes. I have met loads of suppliers of naturals from several countries and they are going to send me their samples for me to check. I have made a big database with names and all details.I have bottle suppliers, manufacturers of Natural essential oils. So if anyone needs contacts let me know. Now for the prize draw, I am not fussy whatever prize comes I am happy, just pleased I have been able to take part in the draw.May the best man (woman) win. Guest guest
> > Hi Everyone: > > Next Thursday, June 14th, will the the 10th anniversary of the founding of this Yahoo natural perfumery group. Wow! 10 years! When I started the group, I had several goals in mind: promote the ideals of 100% natural perfume; establish files, links, archives and other materials that would establish a strong educational foundation for members; and hold standards of friendly discussion and respect for other's ideas paramount to maintain a peaceful group. > > Now, with over 2300 members, those goals have been met and surpassed - this group is the largest repository of natural aromatics/perfume information on the Internet. I hope you have all found it to be a valuable resource and I know many of you have made friends across the world because of your membership here. > > To celebrate, I'm doing a giveback/giveaway to y'all. Just leave a comment on what you love about this group, love about natural perfumery or aromatics, or how the information here has helped you on your natural perfumery path. Hi Everyone! I hardly ever post (maybe just once or twice) but I read all of the discussions. I absolutely love how helpful everyone is with answering questions and giving advice. We are all so fortunate to be part of such a wonderful, sharing community! I have had a love affair with natural essences for about 13 years now since I started studying their effects in skin care. Over the years my love has evolved into a full blown passion as I create and share natural perfumes and products with my family and friends. If chosen, I would LOVE the textbook. Thank you Anya for creating a place for us to share our passion and thank you to the group for all of your generous help. I don't post as much as I would like to. I'm fairly new here and don't want to sound stupid. Plus you are all so knowledgable and quite elegant in your descriptions. I read every post with delight. I'm the quiet kid, but I hope to break out of my shell someday <g> I appreciate Anya's knowledge as well as everyone here. Congrats on 10 years, wow, just so amazing and impressive. If I were chosen, I would be most interested in the textbook, as, at this point, I know that I do need to engage my " left-brain " more in this subject matter, which I have been obssessed with for as long as I can remember. I've been doing a vast amount of research and I'm always wanting to learn more. I can't wait until I can apply everything that I'm learning to making my own fragrances. I have so many ideas! Every morning I sit down with my cup of coffee and read what everyone is posting. Everyone here is so educated on the matter, it makes me feel even more new to it all! I want to thank everyone for just being wonderful. I had no idea there were so many people out there with similar interests. I hope that I can continue to learn from all of you as best I can. That being said, if I do win this generous drawing I would LOVE to have a copy of the textbook. Thank you Anya for starting this group in the first place and thank you everyone that participates regularly. ~ http://thescentedsymphony.blogspot.com/
Guest guest
Hello All, I have actually met, even shared good food and wine with some wonderful people here in this group-from the US, Europe, Australia and even people from my own city of Wellington, Aotearoa. That certainly was a surprise element as one does not always expect a real time experience through an online group. Being a professional perfumer its vital to keep up with new ideas and discoveries, (even if some are not of heartfelt interest) and this group certainly provides a platform for these. I have enjoyed reading material from the database and learnt from it. I've also enjoyed sampling others work- that's really one of the best experiences, finding the personalities within! As well, there's always something new to read and the more that's on the table is enriching for us all. Therefore it's the textbook interests me!
