Hi all,

I don't know if you can appreciate this but I sure did when a friend sent it to

me. It was sadly too true in many ways. So I thought I would pass it on.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Amen to This!

*Twas the month before Christmas*

*When all through our land,*

*Not a Christian was praying*

*Nor taking a stand.*

* See the PC Police had taken away,*

*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*

*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*

*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*

*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*

* December 25th is just a " Holiday " .*

*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*

*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*

*CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod*

*Something was changing, something quite odd! *

*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*

*In hopes to sell books by en & Fonda.*

*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down *

* At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*

*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*

*You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*

*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-is-ty*

*Are words that were used to intimidate me.*

*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*

*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !*

*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*

*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*

*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*

* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*

*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*

*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*

*So as you celebrate " Winter Break " under your " Dream Tree " *

*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*

*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*

*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Not Happy Holiday!*

I'm sending this early so it has lots of time to get passed around!!!!!

Isn't it sad that we live in a country that was based on Christian belief's

and we can't even teach our children publicly those beliefs anymore..

Amen to this - I'm going to pass it along to all of my non-stills friends..

.. Having just moved and finding a church in which actually prays for the

town in which it is in, the schools and leaders etc, it's an amazing

difference to me... You would think a big city (like Seattle) would have

churches like that - but we had a hard Time finding that - instead we go to

a small town in the middle of TN and find a small church that accepts people

for who they are, helps you when you need help, prays for the community and

most of all, with Christmas right around the corner, is teaching children

the write principles about Christmas... On top of telling families that they

should not go to church every Sunday - that they should take some Sundays

for Family time --- and in my case - provide a comfortable chair and tell me

to leave when it hurts to much to stay any longer... I WAS AMAZED!!!!

...it is sad but true in too many instances.....mainly because the

majority of people in this country are being controlled by minority

interests and $$$! What this country needs is for more people to grow two

things....thick skin....and a " set of brass balls " !!!! I refuse to say have

a god holiday anymore, and always wish people in conversation (face to face)

a Merry Christmas......what's the worst thing that could happen? Maybe

they're not Christian, and I learn that. No harm done at all. My RD is

Jewish, as is my Business Attorney, the people who owned the corner store

where I grew up......it matters little to me. In the few instances where

people have become insulted......(not the ones who weren't Christian) I have

a field day with them. I enjoy playing with people who I disagree with. Call

it a mind challenge, but I enjoy it.

Until more people get " intestinal fortitude " we will deal with this so

long as we live. So long as we continually elect people who cater to

lobbyists and special interests we will live with this. It is a compound

problem with one solution, and I already mentioned it.

I will pass this on. Thanks, Kirk.
