There's so much evidence that CoQ10, L-carnitine and possibly also hawthorn, can do as much as any ACE inhibitor can. I've heard of people using doses up to 700 mg of Q10, but under a physician's supervision, monitoring blood levels. Some people just don't absorb it well and need lots more. ~~What's an ACE inhibitor? Janice
Guest guest
Hello all ~ Just sharing my experience. In my health journey, doctors have overmedicated me and caused me un-necessary health crisis. Just because of " Standards, or Statistics, inability to listen, or to treat on an individual basis, or desire to learn, they put me on a whole list of drugs. Ones that cause other organs to fail when not needed. Because of those S and S, they never even bothered to see if it was these drugs causing my organ failure. They never even checked to see if there were other reasons for my edema besides heart failure. It has taken 9 months being off of those 3 different pills for my kidneys to calm down. My physical symptoms of the kidney disease are calmer and I hope that when I have another test that it will show improvement in my GFR. I am hopeing that I have reversed my kidney disease by stopping these drugs. I no longer am up every 30 minutes peeing at night. This is huge for me. I also havent been having the kidney pain as often, which is huge for me as well. The bladder spasms are also better, and this is awesome. All this goodness with my kidneys is new... Just know that sometimes it takes months before you see an improvement on something. Always trust and follow your gut. Getting on meds/supplements, and getting off ofthem sometimes takes going very slowly so you can see what kind of longterm reaction you are going to have. Guest guest
Darling Dede: Thank you for sharing your experiences, because we have all learned so much from you. It is heartbreaking that you have had to go through all of this pain. Your journey has been one that we will never forget, and you are one lady who will make sure that we never forget you. Honey, this should be sent to all of the stupid doctors who have destroyed your quality of life. We are so happy that you have taken control of your life, or they could have killed you. The ladies in this group have made us aware of the dangers of many medications. Please stay strong, and give our love and support to your father. Sending love and hope....Lea and Superman Dede, after her implants are removed: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~```` Re: Medications and Supplements Hello all ~ Just sharing my experience. Guest guest
Yes, I agree with Lea. Dede, you are one VERY special lady and you have been such a wonderful support to me and I know so many others. You make me smile, laugh and cry all at the same time. I don't know what I would have done without you through all this. I'm so glad to hear that you are getting your kidneys back in order. I hate it when I go see the doctor about something and they just want to give me a prescription and send me on my way. For a LONG time, my doctor chalked up my symptoms to my blood pressure. I FINALLY had to get tough with her and tell her that I DO NOT want to talk about my blood pressure anymore and I want to get to the root cause of my problems. Luckily, she listened to me, and we together figured out that it was my implants that were causing my problems. So now we try and find out the source of my problem, instead of just masking it with prescriptions that just make me sicker. I wish there were more doctors like that. We really do have to take our health into our own hands. Doctors aren't going to do it for us. We are just so lucky to have each other! Guest guest
Krista ~ How sweet, thank you ! You are so right. Doctors no longer take care of us like they used to. We have to be in charge. Ya know, doctors have forgotten that we hire them, they are our employees, not the other way around. If they dont do the job, they shouldnt get paid, and should be fired. We need to start some consumer protection laws to protect us from medical incompetancy and fraud. WE should adopt some forms for the doctor to fill out requiring SS #, DL number Cirriculum Vitea, DEA number, and medical license number. They are taking our lives into their hands, so we deserve to have the right to this info in case we need to bill them for their dis-service, turn them over to collections, or sick lawyers on them for non-complience. We should have a copy of a psychiatry interview to be sure they arent crazy and a suitable candidate for our medical care. It is time we move to change things........If the doctor doesnt want to comply, then he does not get the business. Means he is not worthy of hire. Big sign to RUN.......... Ya know we have a very special group of people here, isnt it wonderful?? !! Love Dede See what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage. Guest guest
Dede- I agree, it is wonderful that we have such a special group. We are all so diverse too, which I think is fun! Oh, and you forgot to add in that before we hire a doctor, we should have the right to know their stance on certain issues. Like before we hire our doctor, we need to know their stance on breast implants and if they feel they are harming women. Also, we need to know their stance on prescription medications. Do they just freely hand out medications, or are they more interested to getting to the root cause BEFORE they give us more medication. These are very important to us. Dede, please listen to Rogene and get that help. We are just going to worry about you. As soon as you tell us that you've gotten that help, then we can stop worrying about you. You need to take care of DEDE! You do so much for others, but you know what, you can't help others if you don't help yourself first. We love you and want you all better so you can continue to be such a bright, positive person for all the world. Love, Krista > > Krista ~ > How sweet, thank you ! You are so right. Guest guest
Dede, It goes to show that we need to be our own advocates for our health. I question everything now. I'm glad your kidneys are better. > > Hello all ~ > Just sharing my experience. In my health journey, > doctors have overmedicated me and caused me > un-necessary health crisis. Guest guest
Hi Dede, I'm feeling OK. That surgery was easy. I'm disappointed that I am on more antibiotics. My surgeon insisted that I take them for five days following surgery because my white blood count is pretty low. It continues to drop... not sure why. > > ~ > That is so true ! Thank you ! Guest guest
, please stay on the antibiotics, but make sure that you are taking an anti-fungal medication. Probiotics are very important too. I went off of my antibiotics because we are not sure what kind of infection we are dealing with. My white blood count is low too, it could be the abscesses in my breasts. Good luck honey....love you...Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``` Re: Medications and Supplements Hi Dede,I'm feeling OK. That surgery was easy.
