Guest guest
Has anybody successfully lost weight on their face? I know you can’t lose weight in one specific part of the body, but what I mean is, successfully made your cheeks look like they have weight .. maybe lost water retention? Is drinking a shed load of water the answer? I’m on 7mg of Pred. No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Hi ; Please do not drink a shed load, or any other excessive amount, of water! What this does is lead to a dangerous electrolyte imbalance. I drank too much water for awhile after years of weight gain from prednisone and illness. Not only that, my red and white blood cell counts were dangerously low. My white count was 1.8. I was off prednisone and the weight didn't simply " go away, " as I'd been told it would many years ago (20 now). I ended up in the hospital in kidney failure, receiving blood transfusions. I would wake in the middle of the night in such agony due to muscle spasms (from electrolyte imbalances). The nurses had heart and would run in with an injection of Demerol. Not much is remembered 12 years ago when I had pneumonia, became septic, had three strokes, and nearly died. Memories of that period were vague. Memories of kidney failure are not vague at all. I remember the fear in my husband. I remember our youngest daughter looking at me in horror. She is a survivor of anorexia, and I was very thin. She was so scared, and didn't come back to visit until I was home. Our oldest daughter broke down in tears when she found out I needed blood. She insisted on being there and held my hand when they started began the transfusion. They allowed her to bring my grandson, who the nurses allowed to snuggle under the covers with me for awhile. I'll never forget how I frightened my own family. After regaining my health and senses, it frightened me, too. If I knew a way to lose weight in the face, I would share it. But please, do not drink more than the recommended daily amount of water. In Peace, Barbara Gardner Ventura, CA Has anybody successfully lost weight on their face?
