Guest guest
Hi, Is anyone up for a "walk" challenge? I am not on Facebook (I'm extremely paranoid about privacy - but I am a scorpio, so what can I do? LOL!) but I can follow her blog. I think the deal is to walk every day from Nov 1- Nov 21. Since my back is wonky I think this will be good for me since walking is generally the best exercise for me to do during times like this. My plan is to use DVDs, the treadmill, and outdoor walks. I'm not sure of the exact details of her challenge, but I figure that if I do some type of walking every day for at least 15 minutes or one mile (, treadmill or outdoors) it counts. On days that are not "cardio" days I'll likely keep my walks on the shorter side (30 minutes or less) and for "cardio" days I'll do longer walks (45 - 60 min). BTW, DH has been doing a ton of walking/hiking lately and his bloodwork has shown the results - his triglycerides have come way down. This is good news since he has a family history of high triglycerides, heart problems and high cholesterol. My DH isn't a big exercise guy and he can afford to drop a few pounds (which he has, albeit slowly b/c he likes to eat and isn't a big exercise guy!) - walking/hiking and yard work are his main activities. So, it goes to show that walking is powerful exercise in terms of health improvement.Take care, Donna ----- Forwarded Message ----To: Donna Potisk Sent: Tue, October 26, 2010 6:16:22 PMSubject: Don't miss November with us!
