Guest guest
Don't I want to dilute it then Tracey? He had lots of liquid regurges last night, very uncomfortable and I need something as an instant relief. He wouldn't punch anything, although he may punch me if I am in the way when he is raging with the reflux. At the moment I am giving him water and back massage which does work but it takes a good long time and initially he won't co-operate because he just becomes totally manic, need something that works very fast. Vicky Re: Apples for Reflux? Dear Vicky I was advised a long time ago not to use bicarb if it is taken as a drink.. It dilutes the stomach acid. Would your boys punch a freestanding punch bag at all? It is just that this punching action exercises and strengthens the diaphragm so that it sits better in the rib cavity so that it does not push up onto the stomach.. and this can stop reflux too. Guest guest
Hi Vicky Problem with bicarb like antacids is that long term it actually increases acid problems... A pinch of bicarb under tongue will alkalise blood without alkalising stomach acid.. which is why this is supposed to be a much better way of using Bicarb.. I was looking in my homeopathic books and there are a few remedies for " regurgitation...the one for night time is Sulph.. or Sulphuricum Acidum The picture of people who benefit from this remedy (Suphuicum Acidum)are Stomach- heartburn, sour eructions, Abdomen Colic with sense as if a hernia would protrude Throat- sore and stingy Mind Must do everything in a great hurry, sullen impatient and angry symptoms of needing this remedy include.. Great painfulness, Pains increase gradually and end abruptly. Lead poisoning. Burning darting pains. Helios Homeopathic Pharmacy might be able to help you with the strength of remedy needed... I have tended to self prescribe with the children.. usually using a 200 strength for acute things.. Also... do you give him any animal proteins after 1pm .... it is just that the acid from animal proteins is much higher than lentils etc.. and it takes hours to digest animal protein... upwards of 5 hours... If he is growing at the moment, he may be struggling to digest more complex foods... I know that if I have animal protein late at night I have real indigestion and can have reflux too. For me the best thing I can do is to drink warm boiled water.. it seems to detox liver and remove acid problems really quickly. I think that apples have malic acid in them which can cause digestion issues... Best Wishes Tracey Don't I want to dilute it then Tracey?
