Guest guest
Hi all! I have just caught up on my reading of this forum and I know the A1/A2 issue has been discussed a while back but I'm hoping some of you can give me some advice, please... We have family and friends whom each have a son with an Austitic Spectrum Disorder/Pervasive Developmental Disorder, specifically one, a 4 year old appears to suffer from ADHD, Aspberger's Syndrome, peanut allergy, seasonal allergies, and is prone to violence and the other is a 16 year old with Aspberger's Syndrome or Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Not Otherwise Specified. Anyway, Here are my questions: 1. Given that these parents are not raw milk interested, could I recommend to them that drinking, dare I say, pasturized goat milk, or other A2 milk, would still bring about the benefits of A2? 2. Is the A2 only available with the presence of enzymes or something else in raw milk? 3. Does the flash heating of the milk change or do anything to the A2? 4. Is there anyone on this board whom has had success using or has used raw A2 milk, specifically, to address these types of issues? I really appreciate your thoughts, opinions in advance! Guest guest
Thanks, I'll look into that! > > > I know this is a raw dairy group. sorry to be off topic, but the first thing to try IMO would be an additive/colourings free diet, for instance the Feingold..marion > >
Guest guest
Genebo, Thanks for your reply! Your very thorough and knowledgeable answer helps me further understand this topic. We are in Colorado so we don't have Hy-Vee stores but they do sell ultra-pasturized goat milk and non-homogenized, pasturized cow milk at Whole Foods (as you said, likely A1 cow milk). The goat milk seems to be a starting point in this situation. Wish me and the boys affected luck!

Guest guest
I would also encourage looking at getting Dr. Natasha -McBride’s book Gut and Psychology Syndrome. She is an expert on curing, yes, curing autism. There is also a group that covers this subject in great depth called Healing Leaky Gut on Yahoo groups. Hope these help! Guest guest
Not sure where in CO you are located, but have you looked into Jen Allbritton’s site? She lives in Denver (http://wss.nourishingconnections.org/Site%20Files/home.aspx) and is taking patients. Another gal worth looking into (depending on where you are) is Atwood. She is on the eastern plains (http://www.traditionalcook.com/). They may be able to direct you in a great direction and show you some ways of talking to your friends. Guest guest
Chrissie, Thanks for the resources! I couldn't find any information on where she takes patients. Which page did you find it on?
Guest guest
Thanks for the resources! I couldn't find any information on where she takes patients. Which page did you find it on? ~Through the grapevine! I used to live in the Springs for 27 years and still have family there! Call and see what they have available. Jen is also the nutritional consultant for the Vitamin Cottage stores so she is a great resource! Also contact Emmy McAllister, the CS chapter leader, if you need info on sources. She is a jewel box of information! healthsolutionsnow@... Chrissie BunnyearsFamily Heritage Farm firstclassskagitcounty.org N. Snohomish/Camano Is. Guest guest
What a small world! I've been in contact with Emmy and you're right, she's very knowledgeable! I'd love to spend the day talking to her. I've read Jen's articles in VC's journal that comes in the newspaper. I'll call. Thanks a lot!
