Guest guest
Wow Pat, You are a poet! I live a ways away, but I've joined you. However, I think I'll have coffee with the pumpkin bread with lots of butter. You guys are amazing. I've been needing something relaxing like this cyber tea. Any room for complaints here, or shall we leave them at the doorstep? Luv ya, Re: OT - Time for a Cyber Tea, Coffee, or Cider Party.... It's still a bit warm here in Texas for hot ... well, hot anything! So, I am out on the (virtual) veranda with my decaf iced tea (lots of sugar, just like my Aunt Zola made it) setting on the wooden swing, chains attached to the ceiling creaking as I gently move. It's 4:00AM (I'm an early bird) the stars are out, the night is cool. The heat of the day will soon be upon me, but for now, I relish the wisps of breeze the chill me bare legs. My cat, Milo (aka " Maynard " by the 80 year old lady that lives down the road) has now climbed onto my lap & is kneeding his claws into my robe. He thinks that I come out here just for him, and truthfully, he is at the top of the list. The house sets snugged into a stand of ancient pecans, the veranda facing the lake. There's a small stream trickling down the side yard that becomes a torrent in the rain. But now, I hear it whispering to me as it find it's way to bigger things. My eyes drink in the view...the gentle slope of the land, my lagoon twisting it's way onto the larger body of water. Ripples reflect the moon. A perfect way to start the day. Ice is now tinkling in the empty glass. The business of living is starting to ramp up in my mind. But still, I stay. Not wanting to let the best part of the day slip away~ Kind Regards, Pat Austin, TX ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
Guest guest
It is 630 am here and I am on the porch with my morning coffee and coffee cake. The morning is a bit foggy and humid, but still delightful. OH Yes! Please I will have some of the Pumpkin Bread. I also make a scrumptious Pumpkin Cake with Cream Cheese frosting... Weighs a ton in the pan but goodness it is good. Sorry about the loss of the Apple Blossom and having no cider. Love Tracilyn
Guest guest
Excuse me.......I will pass on anything with cream cheese and take an extra slice of the pumpkin bread in its place. Thanks Tom > > It is 630 am here and I am on the porch with my morning coffee and coffee cake. The morning is a bit foggy and humid, but still delightful. > > OH Yes! Guest guest
Tracilyn, I'm in for a tea party, even though I hate hot drinks. I will certainly enjoy one for our friend Bram to calm her nerves, and help pass the time until their closing! I shall bring some crazy teapots for us to pour our tea out of. Guest guest
Hi , We'll be sending warm thoughts for mom's recovery while we drink our warm tea!
Guest guest
Tracilynn, I think it's a mom staple to warm cup of something (I love cider too by the way) when things get a little out of hand. I'm glad it's such a great memory for you. That makes me feel warm as well. I think a cyber tea/coffee/cider party is a fabulous idea! I apologize for the time it's taken for me to get to this posting, by the way. It's been a very difficult week between work and illness. At the moment I'm trying to go without painkillers. They seem to be losing their effectiveness. Take care and be well. Ellen
