Hawthorn-hibiscus tea for brewing Kmobucha

I am new here and since this group has been around for years, I'm sure this has

been covered before but

Is it OK to use Heart tea [Hawthorn/hibiscus] for brewing Kombucha?

I did read that this would work but then others have said no.

My wife has high blood pressure and this is the primary reason for our interest

in Kombucha since someone we know personally knows someone else that it works

for.
