Guest guest
That's great news! Not detectable sounds good to me and it is definitely cause for hope. Guest guest
Not detected is great news! But you aren’t out of the woods yet. SVR is considered having an undetectable viral load 6 months after completing tx. I wasn’t comfortable with my SVR until I was clear two years. I agree that you definitely need to continue tx. The people I am aware of who quit at 12 wks, relapsed. I think you need the full tx, especially since you’ve been doing some reduced dosing because of your blood counts. The importance of the 12 week VL is that if you don’t have a significant reduction in viral load or become undetectable by then, they often decide you are a non-responder and take you off tx. So you still have hope for this round. And that’s great! Finally Good News hi everybody, i joined the group about a month ago. i am in the albumin interferon, ribavirin clinical trial. the problem i was having was that my wbc especially neutrophils kept dropping so low that they would have to suspend tx until they came up and then continue on a reduced dose. well i hung in there hoping they wouldn't drop me. i made it to week 12 and my wbc finally came back and i was once again put back on regular dose, depending on my next bw. anyway, at week 12 they check the viral load to see the response to tx. i have been worried it would come back non responsive. my cordinator called me today to tell me it came back virus not detected. obviously that's good news, but she said we would continue tx and hope it stays undetected for six months. is this news as good as i think or can it take a turn in the other direction down the line. has anyone experienced this or can anyone give me more information on what to expect. very hopeful, and thanks for all your help and information that i've found in the emails so far, peace to all, yogajim
