Guest guest
Hi, I used to make and sell Kombucha and some people bought it for their daughter who had Lymes, it was the one of the things that really helped her. It didn't cure Lymes but it helped her with symptoms. I double it is the Kombucha that is aggravating your Lymes unless you are drinking it very sweet, the sugar could feed bacteria. Or I suppose it could be a herx, try cutting back on the KT for awhile and adding more water. Hope the flare up passes soon . Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev > > Has anyone been diagnosed with lyme disease that is using kombucha? I'm having a flair-up and hope it's not from the kombucha. My symptoms are mainly joint and muscle pain. > > I'd love to hear the experiences of others. Thanks. >
Guest guest
There is an easy way to measure sugar content. Homebrewers use an instrument called a hydrometer that measures specific gravity. You measure at the beginning of the brew with a know amount of sugar, then you can measure at any time and get an accurate idea of how much sugar is left. A good hydrometer will set you back 5 or 10 bucks. - Woody

" Peripheral Neuropathy: If you suffer from burning, pain, numbness or itching in your legs and feet caused by peripheral neuropathy, alpha lipoic acid may ease your symptoms. This condition can be caused by diabetes and other conditions, such as Lyme disease, alcoholism, shingles, thyroid disease and kidney failure. Certain injuries can also cause the above symptoms, as well as nutritional deficiencies and chemotherapy.
