Guest guest
I just had some more tests done and I have some questions. I have an adrenal adenoma & thyroid nodules. Now wondering if there is a pituitary tumor that has not been checked out. This time I fasted overnight, but was still on lisinopril (ACE inhibitor). The doctor I saw said that the medicine wouldn't change the tests results (I have read differently though). I was on a low salt diet also. Here are some of my results: glucose 110 (70-99) first time ever having high glucose sodium 142 (135-145) creatine .79 (.50-1.2) potassium 4.4 (3.4-5.3) BUN 19 (7-21) calcium 9.9 (8.5-10.5) aldosterone 4.3 (less than 21) renin 2.8 (2.9-10.8) sodium deplete (less than or = 0.6-3.0) with sodium ACTH 25 (10-60 a.m draw) Cortisol 13.6 no normal range given (random) growth horm. 0.07 (.01-3.61) Igf-1 196 (84-233) TSH 2.09 (.27-4.2) free thyroxine 1.23 (.93-1.7) In the last few months blood is showing up in my urine tests. It was at 10 & 4 Rbc (0-3). Do people with hyperaldosteronism generally have blood in their urine or is this probably unrelated? My primary doctor believes that I have adrenal exhaustion & I need to go to a place like MAYO, but the endocrinologist (who has seen me once after spending the entire night at the emergency room & given morphine for a migraine) believes that I need psychological evaluation or CPAP titration. Every morning about 10 a.m I suddenly get a headache, dizziness, higher blood pressure (sometimes), anxiety, nausea, etc. Three times in the last 2 weeks I felt like I was losing consciousness and was extremely weak. These episodes are not like panic attacks that I have had where my heart rate would go up a lot. These are a feeling of total exhaustion sometimes with shortness of breath, heart pain, visual problems, sudden excessive urine output, etc. Anyone has any suggestions or advice??
