Guest guest
There is a rubber gasket in the E-z caps .. If they leak it is time to replace them.. You can find them at some brewery supply stores. I got some at this place http://www.homebrewit.com/ E-Z caps when in good condition don't leak at all .. They will release neither liquid nor pressure. You could put our brew upside down they shouldn't leak a drop Frantz ________________________________ To: original_kombucha Sent: Wednesday, January 25, 2012 12:13 PM Subject: EZ Cap losing pressure I'm getting good carbonation in my KT with ginger added but I rece tly started using glass bottles with EZ Cap. I placed several bottles in the fridge and they all held the fizzies well but one. I had put that one on its side and after 3 days about a teaspoon of liquid had dripped out, and the KT was much less fizzy than the others. Did laying on its side cause? Guest guest
Thanks. A careful inspection showed the rubber gasket to be slightly off-center. I will be more careful when squaring up the rubber before clamping down the bail.
