Guest guest
To all, My long tem disability ( Met Life ) that I had through work kicked me to the curb May of 08. I appealed their discoing and provided them with all the info I could. On Christmas eve I got an e-mail from Met Life saying that my appeal has been denied. A couple of things really concerned me, one they said my last day of work was due to a concussion and I have chronic polyarthritis. Boy I wish that is all I suffered from my life would be a breeze! Then back in September the joints in my left foot swelled something fierce and I went to my PCP and the and she thought I had gout which I tested negative for. Met Life jumped all over that saying besides testing negative for gout my sed. rate was normal. If the would have checked my charts from my RD they would have seen my white cell count has been high for the last two years and my ferritin levels have been high for the last several months. Met Life stated that I have exhausted my appeals ( I will never watch peanuts on TV ever again!) So I was wondering if it was in my rights to hire a attorney since there is so many holes in their report. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brett
