Guest guest
Hmmm, it sounds as though casting might be too risky if she has lung issues like that. Scoliosis of 44 degrees shouldn't be causing her to have issues like what you are describing. Ian was 43 degrees and it never affected his lungs. You definitely need to find out what is causing that to happen. Good luck with everything. > >Date: 2008/03/13 Thu PM 08:52:15 CDT >To: infantile_scoliosis >Subject: Lillyanna back in hospital > >She just got home Monday and I had to take her back to the ER today for choking spells again. She turned blue and dropped her sao2 to the 70's. Now...Neuro blames this on her scoliosis and Ortho says " oh no that can't possibly be the reason " . Our pulmonary specialist admitted her to the hospital and says we have to find the cause of her tachypnea. > >After all of this research and reading all the posts I am afraid not of casting but not sure if she will be able to tolerate it. Our hospital is very pro surgery. She needs the MRI and hopefully will get it soon and answer some questions soon. > >I am so scared and worried about her.
