I have loads growing in my gardens because they attract bees and butterflys and I just adore the licorace scent! I think it is the leaves that smell more than the flowers - but I am not certain. I was at the store yesterday, and noticed grain alcohol, so I assume that is what I would use if a tincture is the method. Any suggestions welcome! Sue *********************************************************  Hi  I got some Anise Hyssop EO from Mandy Aftel a long time ago, and it was lovely! She hasn't carried it for years and I haven't found it anywhere else since then. But, I do still have a small bottle that I purchased back then. Tee-hee! Anyway, I think it would be very worthwhile to tincture it for perfumes.  Patty Ganache for Lips http://www.ganacheforlips.com
Guest guest
Hi, i googled it up and yeah it says in Wiki that it is used in eau de cologne. here is the quote " Hyssop is used as an ingredient in eau de Cologne and the liqueur Chartreuse. It is also used to color the spirit Absinthe, along with and Roman wormwood.[8] Hyssop is also used, usually in combination with other herbs such as liquorice,[9] in herbal remedies, especially for lung conditions.[10] The essential oils of hyssop can cause fatal convulsions in rats,[11][12][13] and may not be as safe as most people believe.[14] " wikipedia Peace Jamal > > Does anyone know if this plant can be used to make a perfume ingredient?
