Guest guest
> Hi, i googled it up and yeah it says in Wiki that it is used in eau de cologne. > here is the quote " Hyssop is used as an ingredient in eau de Cologne and the liqueur Chartreuse. It is also used to color the spirit Absinthe, along with and Roman wormwood.[8] Hyssop is also used, usually in combination with other herbs such as liquorice,[9] in herbal remedies, especially for lung conditions.[10] The essential oils of hyssop can cause fatal convulsions in rats,[11][12][13] and may not be as safe as most people believe.[14] " > wikipedia > Peace > Jamal > Hi Jamal: Reminder: please don't top post. We use the bottom posting method that most educational groups on yahoo use. Hyssop Hyssopus officinalis aka Hyssopus decumbensis not anise hyssop Agastache foeniculum, two different plants. Common names are faulty sources for information, and Wiki is pretty poor in the reference area. And the warning about the EO may not be relevant, since 1) hyssop is rarely used in perfumery and 2) it's not ingested if made in a perfume.
