Funny you should mention! I have a cookie sheet's worth, from TJ's,

that I roasted in the oven. Couldn't have been easier, they're even

pre-scored for you. The girls and I have been peeling and eating them

throughout the day. They're very sweet, mealy nuts. I heart TJ's.

Yes, and instructions are on the back. 6-8 mins in a conventional oven

at 425.

Just heat and eat. I've seen them in recipes but

really, I just like to munch them. Lately I've been

enjoying eating foods " as is " instead of combining

them into " dishes " . But nuts are about my favorite

snacks, incl. chestnuts (ok, they aren't really a " nut " ,

I think, but close enough).

I second that! They are just divine!

Heidi, how long do you cook yours for? I always seem

to over do mine so theyre burnt, or under do them so

the inner shuck won't come off.

I'm not good with timing either, which is one

reason I like it when they have them at the Korean

store (they have them hot, out front, already cooked).

I've been putting them in my toaster oven though,

on " toast " (i.e. like you would toast a piece of toast).

I score them first with a chestnuts scorer (I splurged

and bought one from a cooking shop), then the edges

peel away when they cook.

I put them in the freezer when I first buy them. They

go moldy REALLY fast, unlike " real " nuts.
