Guest guest
>No, HCl does not have a pH. A pH of 0.8 isn't almost " pure acid " but its extremely acidic. Were it pure or almost pure, you'd probably just burp it up, since HCl is a gas (I imagine this would burn pretty bad!) >But I guess what they're saying is the solution HCl is in (HCl and water) is pH 0.8. What I don't understand, then, is how the pH rises to 1.5-2? Are there other glands that secrete... umm... water? >Chris You got me Chris. What I do know is that there are many different pH levels through out the body. And I have gone back to my source of the info to ask for more clarity. If I get a response I'll be sure and let you know. Janice
