I have waited and now it is on it's way I am very excited. I will look up that recipe as soon as it arrives. Is is some sort of beets that have been stewed? Instead of going with my gut (no pun intended), I listened to him and didn't think about it much, until now Light or gray color stools are an indiction of a need for bile salts to help with the emulsification of fats. Bile salts add the characteristic color to stool. This is a gallbladder issue which goes hand in hand with liver function. Excess fats in the diet (bad fats), especially hydrogenated fats need to be avoided and of course refined foods. In the Nourishing Traditions there is a recipes for beet kvas which you might want to try. It's so simple and you just drink 4 oz/twice a day. Guest guest
Sheryl, The beet kvass is on pg 610 of NT It's just 3 medium or 2 large organic beets peeled and chopped up coarsely 1/4 C whey 1 T sea salt filter water Put beets, whey and salt in 2-quart glass container. Add water to fill container. Stir well and cover securely. Keep at room temp for 2 days then refrigerate. I think someone also mentioned Bieler Broth to you. That's on pg 608 of NT.
