Cholesterol Levels

Question for everyone. I had bloodwork done a few months ago.....and asked

my doc the other day what my cholesterol levels ended up being. At first

she said 210 total....and I was like 'rut ro'....then she said 125 HDL and

85 LDL...and that I was way below normal on that combination. I looked up

average HDL levels....women were between 50-60, men between 40-50. I have

never been one to watch my fat intake really (since I have never really had

weight problems I never fell into the 'eat less fat, lose weight' genre). I

also never watched what kind of fats I used....saturated, ect, although I

didn't eat very many trans fats and such unless I slipped up and ate junk.

When the bloodwork was done, I had been off carbs for about 3-4 months...was

eating a ton of cheese, butter, olive oil, ect. I am eating even more

saturated fats since that bloodwork was last done....heavy creams, whole

milk, things like that have been added to my diet. I think I may have my

bloodwork run again in another 6 months or so...see where I am standing

again.

So my question is this.....does everyone here have similar high HDL levels

after NT'ing for awhile or just eating the higher fat diets? Just curious.

Friends and Family always gripes at me saying eating what I do is going to

end up killing me....but so far I don't see any evidence pointing that

direction. I think the direction my bloodwork is pointing is a reflection

of this...but curious if other people have seen the same results.

Thanks!!!
