Greetings from Houston, Texas - I was referred to this group by a friend and

fellow soap maker, and I am so excited to be a part of a group that loves

botanical scents!

Here's a little background info about me: I've been using essential oils to make

bath & body products for about 15 years, when one of my daughters brought home a

jar of sugar scrub from the mall. I read the list of ingredients and thought,

wow, this is one seriously overpriced jar of table sugar, mineral oil, and cheap

synthetic fragrance. I knew it couldn't be hard to mix up something that would

be far better for a teenager's skin. I started researching essential oils and

that was the beginning of my love affair with all natural scent...

I've only been making cold process soaps for about 5 years, but always with EO's

- or no added scent at all. I've been blending EO's for quite some time, and a

couple of years ago I started making botanical perfume oils. I really like

making soap, but I LOVE blending EO's and making perfumes! I've also made

macerations and infused oils, and I have a few floral waxes that I've

experimented a bit with. To me, there's just nothing like the real thing -

especially when it comes to perfume!
