Does anyone know of a home-testing system to test food vitamin and

mineral content? Or even better with additional fat and protein and other

metrics.

This may be an impossible request but who knows.

The best practical way I know of in determining food quality can be

found here at

http://www.brixpage.com. If a dialogue box comes up just hit cancel

until it goes away. This online pamphlet is quite an eye opener.

Think Dennis has a brix. Also works in a testing lab. Would be great to

test open pollinated seed vs. hybrid. Also am wondering if phytates increase

from open pollinated to hybrid varieties. Is soaking maybe only needed

because of hybridization? Plants needing more defenses.
