Guest guest
Friday, January 16, 2009 Are we so mindless??? this morning i woke up to find this story on yahoo news. okay i get that coke makes these claims(as MANY INFOMERCIALS do promoting their crap makes better health) but come on. IF YOU READ then you already knew that their Vitamin Water contained a ton of sugar and the whole bottle is actually 2 1/2 servings NOT one. but ppl are just going to suck money out of anything they can by suing coke for their claims. okay i knew for awhile the vitamin water wasn't really the healthiest thing on the market so i chose not to buy it! that's all, i was smart to read the label(as with most foods) and learn it wasn't going to work and left it at that. this is a matter of personal responsibility. whenever lawsuits arise it falls on consumers in the way of cost of product, and that cost will usually go UP.this is exactly what i find wrong with the world, we have lost total responsibility for anything ourselves and just blame something else and sue the pants off them(from soda products to doctors). sometimes there is a need and good reason to sue but most of the time its crap. just like ppl who eat mcdonald's 3 times a day then sues mcdonald's b/c they got fat. HELLO!!!! is anybody home???!!!!!!!i know what my issues are and there really is nobody to blame but me. even then i try not to blame to harshly b/c i am human and all i need is the proper mindset to get back to a healthier weight. i am not going to blame any food company b/c ME MYSELF AND I overate their food. ME MYSELF AND I have to learn restraint and portion control, and if ME MYSELF AND I can't do that, then ME MYSELF AND I shouldn't have it. but i won't be so mindless to jump on a claim ANY company makes.if they are willing to sue coke, then we should sue a bunch of this infomercials b/c their exercise crap rarely work. and not everybody gets the same results so i am mad i didn't look like christie brinkely after working out on a total gym. come on folks lets all just support each other and learn some responsibility for ourselves and stop blaming the companies. if we just not buy their products they will stop promoting them. remember they are just doing their jobs to push the stuff that they learn everybody likes or what sells. if we change our ways they will change theirs too. lets think on that for awhile. fitness blogmy domainSpecial Needs Scouting Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don¢t want to impress people they don¢t like.-Will
Guest guest
Good point, Kassia. I saw the story too. The amount of sugar alone is enough to make me stay away from that stuff. > > Friday, January 16, 2009 > > > > Are we so mindless??? > > > > this morning i woke up to find this story > on yahoo news. okay i get that coke makes these claims(as MANY > INFOMERCIALS do promoting their crap makes better health) but come on. > IF YOU READ then you already knew that their Vitamin Water contained a > ton of sugar and the whole bottle is actually 2 1/2 servings NOT one. > but ppl are just going to suck money out of anything they can by suing > coke for their claims. okay i knew for awhile the vitamin water wasn't > really the healthiest thing on the market so i chose not to buy it! > that's all, i was smart to read the label(as with most foods) and learn > it wasn't going to work and left it at that. this is a matter of > personal responsibility. whenever lawsuits arise it falls on consumers > in the way of cost of product, and that cost will usually go UP. > > this > is exactly what i find wrong with the world, we have lost total responsibility for anything ourselves and just blame something else and > sue the pants off them(from soda products to doctors). sometimes there > is a need and good reason to sue but most of the time its crap. just > like ppl who eat mcdonald's 3 times a day then sues mcdonald's b/c they > got fat. Guest guest
Hi Kassia, I couldn't agree more - and I do agree that one of the biggest problems in the world right now is a lack of personal responsibility. And, you're right - if the consumer doesn't buy the product then the product won't sell and the manufacturer will stop making it. Thanks for letting me vent, too!Donna ..
