Guest guest
My name is and I'm from Boulder, Colorado. My e-mail address is carrie.appleberry@... I have not been able to eat dairy regularly for five years. I first gave up dairy because of some health problems I was having. I have recently been following more of the Weston A. Price Foundation diet guidelines that was motivated by dental issues I have been having and decided to look into raw dairy for my family. I then got curious to see if I tolerated raw dairy for myself. Results have been mixed so far for raw cow dairy, though I love the taste! I seem to do better with well fermented yogurt than plain milk. My mood also seems to be better since I started drinking raw milk. I seem to be more calm and less irritable. I wonder if others have noticed this? I'm now on to trying raw goats milk. I just had my first taste of the goats milk tonight, and was surprised at how ungoat-like it tastes! I'm not particularly fond of strong goaty cheeses. However, I do love raw sheep cheese. Raw cow and goat milk seem to be readily available in my area, though you have to buy a share of the cow or goat in my state. However, no one seems to raise sheep here for milk. I think that if I follow my ancestry, I'm probably more adapted for sheep (can you say Romano?) and goat dairy than cow dairy. Colorado is not the place for raw sheep dairy, unfortunately. I joined this group to see if I could learn more about how I might make raw dairy work for me. I'm not giving up on it yet! I would like for raw dairy products to like me as much as I like them!
